Sory DeOliveira

REALTOR

Sory DeOliveira is a member of The Shawn Sullivan Team who hails from Belo Horizonte, Brazil and is fluent in English and Portuguese.  An accomplished REALTOR® in her own right, Sory built a solid career at RE/MAX Andrew Realty Services prior to joining the team and has also been an active presence in local and state REALTOR® organizations. 

As the former vice president of EMAR (Eastern Middlesex Association of REALTORS®) she assisted in its successful merger with GBAR (Greater Boston Association of REALTORS®) in 2015.  She is also a past recipient of EMAR’s prestigious “Dorothy M. Shea Award” for her service to the organization.  On the state level, she served as a MAR (Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®) 5 Star Professional Standards Code of Ethics Instructor and a member of its annual Conference Planning committee. 

Presently, Sory sits on MAR’s Forms and GBAR’s Young Professionals Network respective committees.  Sory is also a Certified Military Home Specialist, who was recognized for her work with “Homes for Our Troops” in 2012.

Sory has called Boston North home since 1997 and knows the area well.  She is a regular participant at a wide array of community and local charitable events, but it is the advocacy work she has done and continues to do on behalf of children with special needs for which she is most proud.  Over the years she has worked tenaciously on a local, state and national level to protect and improve the quality of life for the children.  In 2011, Sory and her late daughter, Emelly, were selected as the face of Blue Cross Blue Shield’s “Home First Program.”  That year she also received the company’s “Mother of the Year” award and was also named one of Magic 106.7’s “Exceptional Women.”
